Being older, God and I go back a ways. While my ability to stay focused has been challenged, God as always has stayed the course of being a loving Father. And there have been numerous miracles. When I started my family lived in a one room efficiency apartment. Today we have a house in the country on three acres we are buying, paying little more than for that apartment! My daughter was deathly allergic to peanuts. Suddenly, that was gone, and now her favorite sandwich is peanut butter and jelly.

While this may not sound like much to us adults, it was a big deal to a 10 year old. And the list goes on. Please do not take this wrong and think that somehow by some formula you will be able to get God to move on your behalf. The point is He already is and wants to be, and if we can connect and plug in to what He is doing, then we experience life as God meant it to be, based on an opportunity to walk down that path together.

God has a pattern to His creation we can discover in our walk with Him.There is a pattern you will discover as you read. Actually there are two that I want to point out here because it will help you on your prayer journey. First is that each day I recorded something from the day and then found scriptures that seemed to explain what I was trying to share with people. When this is complete, I like to encourage people to pray.

At the end of each of the daily devotional writings I include a prayer, which often includes praise in it. The end result is scriptures tied to thoughts and ultimately tied to prayers. The second pattern is something that just began to happen to me during my journey. I began by the end to refer to our Messiah using the Greek name Jesus and the Hebrew name Yeshua interchangeably.

For me, it just sort of developed, and then it helped me to see Him in a more personal way. After all, He was a part of the Jewish nation and in His day would have been called Yeshua. That may or may not have any impact on you as you read and pray. I just wanted you to know why you begin to see that toward the end of the book. One last thought I want to share. You can read this all at once or once a day. As I reread it through from beginning to end as I prepared it for print, I felt a great overwhelming blessing.

And when I write day to day, each day taking time to be a part of God’s life has transformed my own. I would encourage you to take a daily devotional journey with God as well, and allow Him to start every day for you with His blessing!
